National Treasure: Book of Secrets

6.5/10

National Treasure 2 continues the treasure hunting adventures of Ben Gates (Nicholas Cage), as he looks for the more historic stuff. In this movie he is trying to find the truth about Abraham Lincoln’s assassination and clear his great-great-grandfather’s name who is accused in plotting on old honest Abe. Ben and his crew go all over the place from Paris to Buckingham Palace, and the White House, constantly being chased by John Wilkes Booths’ great-great grandson who is also a treasure hunter. The actors are fun like in the first movie. The story is not as exciting as the first movie because it is more of the same stuff really and the movie is somewhat draggy in some places. I guess if you like the first movie then this one should be right up your alley and if you hated it then stay away. I guess I could just describe it as more of the same.

MPAA Rating: PG for some violence and action.

  1. I also think that this sequel is much more exiting than the first one…The story concern more twist and still Cage did a very nice job in this movie…
